Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Full Stack Developer to join our development team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in both front-end and back-end technologies, capable of designing and developing scalable applications, and passionate about delivering high-quality software solutions. Dev ops experience is a strong plus. This position requires at least 3 days per week in-office at Patmos Dev HQ (Denver), but we may consider a remote role for the right US-based candidate. Relocation / signing bonus available to the right candidate willing to make a move to Denver.

Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Develop and maintain web applications and software solutions across the full stack, including both front-end and back-end components.
  • Front-End Development: Create intuitive and responsive user interfaces using modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Back-End Development: Build robust server-side logic, APIs, and databases using languages and frameworks such as Node.js, Python, Rust or Golang
  • Database Management: Design and manage databases, including relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
  • Integration: Integrate third-party services and APIs to enhance functionality and improve user experience.
  • Testing and Debugging: Implement and execute tests to ensure software quality, identify and fix bugs, and optimize performance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including UX/UI designers, product managers, and other developers, to deliver seamless and high-quality software solutions.
  • Documentation: Write and maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation for code, processes, and system architectures.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Experience: 7+ years proven experience as a Full Stack Developer or similar role, with a strong, demonstrable portfolio of web applications and projects. 

Technical Skills:

  • Proven history of build complex scalable web application platforms
  • Strong understanding of distributed architectures and microservices
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript
  • Experience with master to master database replication
  • Hands on experience with Python, rust or Golang
  • Strong proficiency in React.js, including hooks, context, and component lifecycle
  • Experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications using Kubernetes
  • Strong experience with PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization

The Opportunity:

We are currently seeking multiple Data Center Support Technicians to enhance our dynamic team. You will be directly responsible for the execution of our crucial tech operations. Your role will be crucial in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues relating to servers, and network connections, and maintaining the safety and integrity of our data center.

Compensation and Location:

  • This position is strictly on-site only (Phoenix and Kansas City).  
  • $45-55 K ANNUALLY depending on experience. 
  • Paid intern-level opportunities available. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all business-critical systems and escalate issues accordingly.
  • Operate and maintain data center infrastructure as per predefined protocols.
  • Gather necessary data for issue replication, problem determination, and/or escalation administration.
  • Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting tasks for server hardware and network devices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot reported problems with hardware, software, OS, applications, and device compatibility.
  • Act as the first point of contact for network issues, implementing effective solutions.
  • Update and maintain accurate data center logs and documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure the overall security and reliability of our data center environment.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of data centers, servers, networking, and virtualization technologies.
  • Professional experience working with Hosted, Cloud, Software as a Service, Platform as a Service, Infrastructure as a Service, or cloud service providers.
  • Troubleshoot operating system issues including the file system, disk management, and RAID technologies.
  • Understanding of networking technologies such as firewalls, TCP, DNS, DHCP, and SSL.
  • Understanding of most basic system administration tools and procedures, for example, BASH, MySQL, IIS, Apache, Plesk, cPanel, and web control panels, and ability to use backup programs, verify disk integrity, and maintain system files (groups, hosts, aliases)
  • Experience racking, stacking, and administrating Linux and Windows-based systems.
  • Working knowledge of backup system concepts and operations preferred
  • Ability to locate, review, and interpret server error and audit logs.
  • Proven experience with systems diagnostics and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving and technical communication skills.
  • Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate, or similar
  • Experience with cloud platforms like Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Working knowledge of Linux/Unix systems usage.
  • Ability to handle physically strenuous tasks, including lifting heavy equipment.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, as data center operations run round the clock.

  • Assist with payroll, benefits administration, and other HR-related paperwork
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures
